This was the Satellite Media Tour conducted from the Washington, DC Medill Office. I sat in the room with Diane as she completed the interviews to keep track of time and make sure there were no tech issues.

Over this past spring, I worked with a team of students to help Diane Foley launch her new novel, titled "American Mother."
Diane is the mother of American conflict journalist James Foley, who was tragically beheaded by ISIS over livestream in 2014.

We split up into teams of expertise and tackled every facet of promotion, including website SEO, social media, TV and podcast pitching, Amazon book reviews, a satellite media tour, and help with an event at the National Press Club.

I was a co-leader of the team and handled all of the client communication, as well as the delegation and oversight of all work completed by the other students.
This was an incredible experience I will never forget. The Foley family is a true inspiration, and I will continue to volunteer my time for the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation in the future.

I held a Marketing Intern position at
MWCOG in Summer 2023.
The internship was unique in that it was designed to give a wide range of experience; anyone in the Transportation Demand Management department was able to give me work or add me to their projects.

As a result, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the whole office, editing press releases and iterating survey data, but also helping to operate their call center, prepare for events, and facilitate debrief meetings with the
DMV area counties.
One of my biggest tasks was proofreading
and tediously creating the list of tables and figures for the 2022 State of the Commute Survey Report, which is used by transportation agencies and commuters all over the region and can be found here.

This was a summary of my work over the summer, requested by my boss at the time.

In the summer of 2022, I worked as a Communications intern and clerk at a non-profit in my hometown. They were a smaller organization, but it gave me the ability to get my hands on whatever project I asked.

I was able to work directly with adults with disabilities in the area, interviewing and taking photos for media content, and I joined their design team in creating posts and a logo for their 100th anniversary in 2023.
Bond Events
This was the meeting to collect ideas and decide on a logo for Lifesteps' upcoming 100-year Anniversary.
I created a couple infographics like these that were posted on the Lifesteps website to provide resources for elderly care.
I was asked to create ads for job openings at the organization.

A friend of mine interned at Bond Events, and they needed extra help for registration at a bigger ceremony in Fall 2021. I worked that event, and since then, I've been brought in for similar situations around Washington, DC.
I've been a representative for the company at the Headstrong Gala at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium, the Freedom Forum at The Anthem, and other smaller events like apartment complex openings and mall pop-ups. This was all freelance work, but great experience seeing events from start to end.
Eagle Communications -
Riester Public Affairs
(now Riester Influence)
Eagle Communications is a club at American that matches PR and Marketing students with a company in need of promotional content and ideas.

In Fall 2022, we worked with a Public Affairs firm to help generate potential posts and a detailed calendar for the owner's upcoming book launch. We brainstormed hashtags, engagement tactics, and sent the company a comprehensive social media plan by the deadline they requested.
This was the student team for Eagle Communications - the three of us split up the Riester work.
