About
Hello, my name is Allison Schnur.
I'm a 22-year-old entry-level professional, originally from Butler, Pennsylvania.

I recently graduated from American University
with a Bachelors degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communication
and completed minors in French and Psychology (May 2024).
In the spring of 2023, I studied at Université Grenoble Alpes in the South of France
for language immersion and new perspectives, and I received a certification of
French proficiency.

During my undergrad, I interned at two non-profit organizations, created and coordinated publicity for multiple real-world clients, and worked as event help around the DC area. This page features past positions and projects I've completed out in my field, along with some highlights from my personal life as a student and young adult.
Mission
When I was about 10, I decided I wanted to be a photographer. Around 14, I changed my mind and wanted to be a poet. 16 brought Graphic Design into the mix, and 17 year-old me was set on Journalism. At 20 years old, I finally figured out how to mesh all of those together into a career in Strategic Communications.
Vision
At this point in my life, my vision for the future is just to get as much experience as I can. I want to put myself out there both as a professional and a human. I've worked in nonprofit and event planning, but I want to find my passion and preference within Communications.
Right now, I would ideally love to find a Comms position that intersects with live entertainment and/or advocacy work in the DMV area.
